Visiting Hours & Guidelines

Visiting hours are 12:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. with the following exceptions:

Mental Health Unit:
11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. (Monday-Friday)
7:00 P.M.- 8:30 P.M. (Monday-Friday)
1:00 P.M.- 3:30 P.M. (Saturday & Sunday)

Birth Center:
10:00 A.M.- 8:30 P.M.

Intensive Care Unit:
Visiting hours are 24 hours a day, except during the times of 6:30 AM- 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM when there are no visitors or phone calls allowed.  Ideally visits are limited to 5 to 10 minutes each hour in order to maintan a restful environment for the patients and allow for nursing care. Visitors under age 10 are not permitted.

Please be considerate of other patients and limit your visitors to three.  When a patient requires numerous medical devices, only one visitor at a time may be safely accomodated.

To provide our patients with much needed rest, we provide a "nap time" between 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Before entering the ICU, please pick up the phone located at the ICU door to check with staff so we can verify the patient room number and make sure nothing is occuring that would delay your visit.

Each unit may have differing visiting hours. Please call Sequoia Hospital at (650) 369-5811 to confirm.
