Volunteer Services is open to dedicated men and women who seek a positive use of available time, energy and skills for the service of others.
In its sixth decade, Sequoia's Auxiliary began in 1947, three years before the opening of Sequoia Hospital, and continued to match the vigor of hospital growth with its own expansion of services to patients and their families. The goal of Volunteer Services has always been to provide the support and supplemental services that make a hospital stay more pleasant, increasing patient satisfaction.
